Ebbinghaus is a spaced-repetition service: Telegram and VK bots for reminders, and this website for managing decks and collections.

This policy describes what personal data we process when you use the bots or the site.

2. What we process

Messenger identifiers: Telegram user id and/or VK user id.

Display name or username provided by Telegram Login or VK ID (if available).

Language preference for the website interface.

Session data needed to keep you signed in (including a session cookie).

Learning content you create or import: card text, media files, collections, and reminder settings linked to your account.

Technical logs needed to run and secure the service (for example request errors).

3. Why we process it

To create and maintain your account and link Telegram/VK identities.

To send spaced-repetition reminders in the messenger you use.

To let you edit cards, import files, and share or import public collections on the site.

To keep the service secure and working (sessions, abuse prevention, diagnostics).

4. Legal basis

We process this data because it is necessary to provide the service you request, and because you consent when you sign in or start using the bot.

5. Do we share data?

We do not sell, rent, or hand over your personal data to third parties for their own purposes.

Account data (messenger ids, username, cards, settings) stays on our servers.

Telegram and VK are only delivery channels for the service: on sign-in we receive your id and basic profile fields from them; when sending reminders we send you the card content (question/answer or media) in a message addressed to you. We do not upload your profile or card database to other companies.

Public collections you publish are available to anyone with the link — that is content you chose to share, not a transfer of your account data.

6. How long we keep it

Account and card data are kept while your account is active.

You can delete cards and collections in the product. To delete the account and related personal data, contact us via the Telegram bot (for example with /start and a deletion request).

Session cookies expire according to their lifetime (see Cookies).

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and withdraw consent by stopping use and asking us to delete the account.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
